About Us

Power Concepts was founded in the spring of 1995 by Adam and Debra Smith as an electrical contracting company with the vision of providing high quality and dependable services that would not only meet but exceed our customer’s expectations.

It soon became clear that in today’s world, security, technology, safety and entertainment systems were becoming more interconnected with the electrical systems. To address this issue, low voltage systems were added to our available services including electronic security systems, intercom systems, automation systems, fire alarm systems and structured cabling packages as well as Audio/Video entertainment systems.

In the beginning, the bulk of the work performed was to provide repair services for malfunctioning electrical systems, installation of wiring in small additions to existing houses and the installation of security/fire systems. Soon, the business began to grow as we added building contractors and maintenance companies to our list of satisfied clients.

As the business grew, we continued to provide repair services and small installations for additions, and larger projects were added including new homes, townhouse complexes and complete subdivisions as well as retail buildings, automotive dealerships, an industrial recycling plant and many more. Home convenience systems were also added including intercom systems, automation systems and structured cabling packages as well as Audio/Video entertainment systems.
